Holidays huh?
Okay that excuse probably doesn’t work when I haven’t written since October. So I’ll level the truth. I’m bad at blogs. But I do want to be better and I’m gonna try and put thoughts on here still, even if it’s a bit more scattered going forward.
So what have I been up to?
Family. I’ve had two grandparents end up in the hospital (both are okay! One is home and running at 110% and the other’s in rehab now and should be home next week). The holidays of course include a ton of family time. And there’s also four family birthday’s in December. So it’s been a bit crazy.
I’ve also probably dealt with some level of seasonal depression for awhile. I retreated away from responsibility and was functioning in an autopilot shell for a bit. I think I’ve pushed out of it now, but if it rears back up I’ll look into handling it with proper medical aid.
I haven’t stopped creating though. The Starfinder campaign has moved forward and I’ll try and write about that soon. I finished a revision on The Runeweaver Legacy and am prepping to once again ship it out to try and find an agent with a renewed query letter. And I’ve begun something new. Oops.
So worldbuilding may be ignored for a bit. I just built up a whole new one in about two weeks that I’ve come to absolutely adore and I can’t imagine trying to build another one so soon.
And what does all this mean about going forward?
It means I’m gonna keep anyone who wants to read this posted about what’s going on with me. But I’m going to also use this blog to write about the other things I do. My hobbies. Games I play. Thoughts I have. Eventually, I’d like to start up some projects on here. But we’ll just have to see what the future brings.
For now, let’s celebrate a new year and welcome in the bright possibilities the future brings.
