Starcaller Antares: Antares is a young kasatha, a four-limbed alien that hails from a colony ship known as the Idari. His people originally traveled to the Pact Worlds hoping to settle one of the planets after the decay of the star of their homeworld, only to arrive and discover that the planet had not only been settled in the time they were traveling, but advanced enough to fend off any invasion.
Antares is currently on a pilgrimage his people take known as the Tempering, a year-long journey where he is freed of the burdens of tradition in the hopes that when he returns, he will understand their values. Recently he has arrived at Absalom Station, accidentally assisted in a gang bust, and is now hoping to join the Starfinder Society in order to get off the station quickly, before repercussions can find him.
As a Solarion, Antares studies the energies of the cosmos. An enlightened warrior able to pull on the powers of gravity and heat. He is a student in the cycle of destruction and creation that rules the galaxy, and is able to harness these energies into a blade as black as pitch.
Bastion-22: Bastion is an android hailing from an asteroid belt known as the Diaspora. There he found work as a courier until an incident cost him his main client and business. With nowhere else to go, a friend purchased him a ticket for a shuttle known as the Okimoro bound for Absalom Station. There, he hopes to find a new calling among the Starfinder Society.
As an android, Bastion is more than an artificial intelligence or ordinary robot. Androids possess an independent consciousness and soul that exists beyond the basics of their programming. Because of this, they are largely viewed as people instead of property though it is a battle they still sometimes face. Most androids resemble humans, with complex circuitry running along their skin like tattoos.
Beyond being a pilot, Bastion also is a talented inventor and mechanic. In fact, he has designed his own true AI, one that he originally dubbed Sub_Bastion but has recently rechristened Sebastion. His AI is an exocortex, and helps him with both data processing and optimizing his physical abilities.
N’tilect: N’tilect is a shirren, an insectile race hailing from distant stars. The shirren were once part of an all-consuming hivemind known as the Swarm before they somehow broke away and gained independend thought. They now revel in their freedom and ability to make decisions for themselves, and have become a leading voice for peace and diplomacy among the Pact Worlds. N’tilect himself belongs to a sub-brood of shirren with moth-like fur coating their bodies.
N’tilect hails from the planet Verces, a tidally locked world beyond the Diaspora. He’s a recent graduate of the university at Sanctuary, where he studied as a diplomat. Following his graduation, and on the recommendation of a senior classmate, he enrolled with the Starfinder Society where he hopes his talents will find a home.
An envoy who believes in the power of speech. N’tilect begins as a strong pacifist. One who doesn’t quite understand the dangers the Starfinder Society brings with it.
Rumour: Rumour is a ysoki, a race of small humanoid rats most commonly found on the dusty world of Akiton. Most ysoki are consummate tinkers who love to take apart and rebuild machines in a desire to determine how they work. Rumour is a bit different in this regard, as he’s taken that same interest and turned it toward people.
Fancying himself a detective, he’s begun to build a career in solving crime and working with other law enforcement. In particular, he’s set his sights on joining the Stewards, a group of international (and interplanetary) peace-keepers.
A contact among them has recently requested that he aid Absalom’s Security in protecting an individual who helped in a gang-bust by the name of Antares.
Tether Heartwright: Tether is a young woman who grew up on a space station orbiting the distant gas planet Liavara. Early on in her life she began to manifest psychic abilities. Minor telepathy and telekinesis followed, but her strongest ability was in biomancy. It was little surprise that she studied how to be a doctor before taking off in pursuit of her own wanderlust.
Recently she’s found work as a doctor among the Diaspora, but has grown restless once again. She’s come to the decision that perhaps finding work with the Starfinder Society may allow her to both help people in need and still travel to distant worlds. Using her savings, she’s bought a ticket aboard the Okimoro and is now bound for Absalom Station.
Vasika the Violence: Among the vesk, life can be a dangerous thing. A race of warrior reptilians from a distant empire known as the Veskarium, their war with the Pact Worlds only recently came to an end. Now, many vesk find work as mercenaries and soldiers. Vasika was no different. Until she died.
She doesn’t remember the circumstances of her death, or of how she’s returned as the undead revenant she now finds herself but she’s too stubborn to quit now. For several years Vasika rebuilt a life on the undead world of Eox, learning more about herself and continuing work as a mercenary and enforcer. She’s fast, strong, and violent, a good mix for what she does.
Recently, an unknown employer has hired her through a proxy to investigate a dispute on Absalom Station. She’s been provided with a ticket for the shuttle known as the Okimoro, and a single lead by the name of Duravor Kreel, a dwarven representative of the Starfinder Society.
